A 1 hr conversation where we start our relationship, determine if we’re a good fit, and start to define the shape of your quest and how we’ll work together on this journey.
Counseling Adventure

A 1 hr conversation focused on your nourishment goals. Food preparation does not occur, and being in the kitchen is not required.

Kitchen Adventure
Approximately 1 hr where we prepare a single meal together. We decide on the menu together, and I provide an ingredient list, recipes, and supplemental info in a customized Adventure Guide. Imagine cooking along with a cooking show or YouTube video, except we can stop, start, redo, and ask questions and explore answers in the moment.
Grocery Store Adventure

Do you need support on your fetch quest to acquire foods? Jex can accompany you at the grocery store for up to 1 hr, in person if local, or virtually over the phone or video call as accessible.
Group Services
Group Adventure!
(remote only)
$25 per participant*
Assemble your adventuring party around a common learning goal, and we’ll all prepare food together as with individual Kitchen Adventures.
If there’s a specific recipe you want to learn together, you’re welcome to provide it for me to construct our adventure. I will provide an ingredient list, recipes (as needed), and supplemental info in a group-specific Adventure Guide. These adventures may vary widely in length depending on cooking times and group dynamics.
*A Remote Grocery Fee may be charged to all invoices for remote adventures. Fees vary depending on several factors, including the number of remote adventures in a week. This fee will remain between $0 and $15 to make this variable expense easier to plan for. In the instance of remote group adventures, the fee per adventure will be divided by the number of participants in the group.

Special Adventures!
Food-Play Adventures occur twice a year, in June and December. $25 per virtual participant.
Vegan Cheese Adventure Series occurs by group request only. 3-adventure series over 3 months. $100 per participant.
Quantity Cooking for Solidarity occurs by group request, though I hope to be able to schedule it monthly or every other month soon. $25 per virtual participant.

I am currently unable to accept insurance.
I offer sliding scale or free services to folx experiencing financial hardship – priority is given to folx who have been historically undervalued.

The Pay It Forward Fund enables those with financial hardships to access our services at a reduced rate. A gift of $50 fully funds one Kitchen Adventure, but please know your support in any amount makes an impact. Donate if you have the means.
Late Cancellation Fee: Because I set my work schedule to accommodate multiple adventurers and my personal calendar, I must enforce a cancellation policy.
If you cancel an adventure less than 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for paying for the missed adventure as a cancellation fee. I understand life exists, and emergencies happen. I won’t be an asshole about it if someone needs to cancel, but please respect that I still need to be able to care for myself financially when I’m unable to schedule someone else in your time slot.
If our schedules allow rescheduling your adventure within 1 week of the original date, you won’t be responsible for a cancellation fee.
